SmartNet NA has officially deprecated our RTCM 2.x and CMR/CMR+ correction services (except for DGNSS / DGPS applications). This was done to remove support of legacy correction formats that limit customers to GPS only corrections. By removing support of the legacy correction formats, SmartNet hopes to reduce the confusion customers typically experience when non-GPS satellites begin to drop out of their RTK solutions when connecting to non-GNSS correction streams.

SmartNet North America’s birthday is here. We are now 7 years old. We started with 150 stations, now more than 1,300 stations and a BILLION acres covered.
SmartNet field staff are in the New England market conducting maintenance, upgrades and new installations. This deployment will make huge strides to improve geometry, spacing and GNSS correction availability in MA, RI and CT. In addition to hardware upgrades, a number of existing stations also required an upgrade to the physical monumentation to bring the installations up to SmartNet standards.
