Maine Technical Source Adds Sales Staff, Expands Service into Western PA

Maine Technical Source (MTS), an authorized Leica Geosystems dealer with locations in Maine, Massachusetts, and New York, has hired Douglas Churchill, PLS, as its newest sales and support specialist. Based in the Syracuse, NY, office, Churchill will serve engineering, construction and surveying professionals in western New York and western Pennsylvania.

With nearly 25 years of experience as a land surveyor and another 12 years in survey technology sales and support, Churchill has a proven track record of helping firms develop a strategy for technology adoption that provides both a rapid return on investment and long-term growth opportunities. He is committed to partnering with his customers to ensure their success. As the newest resource for Leica Geosystems solutions in Pennsylvania, Churchill will work closely with Dave Filipski, also from the MTS Syracuse office, who serves Syracuse east to the Albany area and northern Pennsylvania, along with Frank Lenik, Leica Geosystems’ technical sales representative in Philadelphia, to meet the evolving needs of engineering, construction and surveying professionals throughout the state. Churchill, Filipski and Lenik will represent Leica Geosystems solutions at the Pennsylvania Society of Land Surveyors (PSLS) 2019 Conference in Hershey, PA, Jan. 13-16.

“Doug is well respected within the land surveying community for his understanding of business and technology issues and has been actively involved in the New York State Association of Professional Land Surveyors (NYSAPLS),” said Stuart MacDonald, MTS president. “We are honored to have the opportunity to serve professionals in western and northern Pennsylvania with a combination of Leica Geosystems’ leading-edge solutions and Doug’s expertise.”

“MTS has an outstanding reputation along the East Coast for their commitment to quality and service,” said Tony Wilson, business development manager for Leica Geosystems in the U.S. and Canada. “Their expansion into western Pennsylvania gives professionals throughout the state easy access to exceptional solutions, support and service. We look forward to supporting them in this new initiative.”
