Leica SmartNet Network Connection Quick Guide for Leica Viva

Leica SmartNet Network Access with Viva

  1. Visit SmartNet website – www.smartnetna.com
  2. Click “subscribe” in upper right corner
  3. Enter contact information & rover information
  4. MTS will process subscription
  5. SmartNet will activate subscription(s)
  6. Accept the SmartNet Terms & Conditions
  7. Receive an Activation Email

To set up on Viva:

From Main Menu, click on the position icon in the upper left corner:

Choose the Server/Mount Icon

The Server is the Network desired.  Press the selection icon for the Server:

If you do not see the desired network, press F2 New:

Enter the Name desired and IP address along with data port, then the NTRIP tab:

Enter your user ID and password for Network (case sensitive).  Then F1 Store

Now you can select Leica SmartNet as network from list

Next you must choose data product (see list from Leica SmartNet site):

Here are Leica SmartNet data products list, below selection is for Nearest Site RTCM 3.0 which will include Glonass satellites.  Press F1 OK after selection

Next press the Position Icon from Main Menu again, then go to RTK Settings:

Ensure you have RTCM 3.0 as data format and press F1 OK

Should be ready to connect to Leica SmartNet network.
